Hello!

It has been awhile since my last post, I really don't know how time passes so quickly!  Anyway, as you will see I have been really busy making lots of Christmas projects because that time of the year is looming up on us again.

Rosette Tree:  I have been wanting to make this tree ever since I first saw it at the Stampin' Up! regionals two years ago. I saw a tree on Pinterest and got a tutorial from there. I have been looking for the name of the person who pinned it and can't find it now. There are quite a few on there if you have a look.  From there this is what I came up with.  If you would like a copy of the instructions just let me know and I will forward them to you.

The original ideas for the tree came from both The Gentleman Crafter and the Archiver’s Blog

Below left:  This is a card we made at our last team meeting Felicity showed us how and we used the Merry from the Expressions Thinlits  Dies 132171 $42.95 .  In this instance we backed it with some silver glimmer paper and I just love the effect.

Below right is the card I made using the actual Merry cut out.  I also used the woodgrain embossing folder and the hexagon punch and you can't see it very well in the photo but one of our beautiful Frosted Finishes Embellishments 132150 $11.95 for 12 pieces.  They are simply stunning!

New 2103-2014 Catalogue Release

The new 2103-2014 Catalogue was released yesterday and it is filled with so many wonderful new products!

Here are a couple of samples I've made using the Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape.  The tape is so pretty and can be used in many ways for quick and simple cards and many other projects too.

This first card  is made by using the Top Note Die run through the Big Shot and then covered by strips of Designer Washi Tape in Gingham Garden .  I used the Blossom Punch  for the large flower and do you see the new Artisan Label Punch for the sentiment?  The sentiment itself is part of a new stamp set called Label Love.

My Butterfly card was made for our team meeting swaps last weekend.  I used the Beautiful Wings die to cut out the shape of the butterfly, then used strips of the Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape to cover it.

Do you notice the pretty flower in the centre?  We now have Simply Pressed Clay and it teams up with the Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Moulds!  These are so fun to work with!  The clay is pure white and by adding a few drops of any of our reinkers or Stamp Write Markers you can match them to any project.  Awesome!

The cute little arrow is from the new stamp set Hello Lovely and the sentiment is from Bring on the Cake.

One of the new Designer Series Papers is called Gingham Garden and it coordinates with the Washi Tape and new stamp set called Kind and Cozy.  All so very pretty and will make so many gorgeous projects.  There is also a new stampin wheel called Gingham.

I have used the Gingham Garden DSP on this card and once again the Artisan Label Punch and Label Love stamp set.  The number 4 is from the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die run through the Big Shot. The Happy Birthday is from a new Hostess Set called Express Yourself.

You can see what I mean about the lovely colours in this DSP.   Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzaz and Whisper White.

Now for one other card I have just finished.  The stamp set is called Love and Sympathy.  It is not a new stamp set but I have only just purchased this one and it is very lovely indeed.  Sadly, my dear Auntie Glory has recently passed away and so it was time for me to make sympathy cards and this set is perfect.  The Wisteria Wonder DSP used in the background is no longer available but was just right for my project.  I always try to match my envelopes to my cards, I don't like sending out nude envelopes if I can help it!

Finally, this card was made from the Simply Sketched stamp set.  Again not a new set, but one I have only just acquired, it has three pretty sketched images in it.  I will show you the others in a  later blog.

Well I hope you are inspired with these samples to temp your mojo again.

Have a look at the new catalogue when you can and you are sure to be placing your orders really soon so you can get on crafting!.

You can see what I have been in to recently... Scrapbooking!
I just love the More Amore Designer Series Paper and the Artisan Embellishments Kit from the Seasonal Catalogue and couldn't wait to use it again.  You may remember a past blog when I made an engagement card for my Nephew,  but this time I just knew it would make a beautiful page for this family photo of Jane, Phil and Jane's lovely children on their wedding day back in 2007.  A bit late, but I knew someday that the right Designer Series Paper and embellishments would come and I would just do it then and there!

Here is the other one....  I had the reverse of quite a few large scallop circles that were left after a workshop where we used the scallop circle die for some easel cards.  I wanted to be able to used them up and so here is what I came up with.

My sister Vicki came to visit last October and so I  took her and my daughter Rachell up to the Tulip Festival in Monbulk.  Tulips are her favourite flower and I have always wanted to take her to see them.  I just love the one of my grandson Jai in amongst all of those lovely blooms.

Last month the ladies had a workshop/party and
the Hostess Bev, was very pleased to get the bonus Sale a  bration freebies as well as her usual Hostess Gifts. Below:  Liz shows off her lovely gift box we made using the Simply Scored and her card made with the new Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  I just love this folder, and well done to all the girls.

Lois and Bev show their work too!

Until next time
Happy stampin!

Can you believe that I have been with Stampin' Up! for one year already!  The time has gone so fast and what an amazing year it has been.  The best thing of all is the new group of friends I've made within my fellow Demonstrators and my wonderful crafty customers.  You have all made my journey incredible, so THANK YOU!

Now down to business......   Check out the new Seasonal Catalogue.   There are so many lovely new products to add to our wish lists!   I am having a Catalogue Launch workshop on Sunday to showcase some of our new products and can't wait to put my next order in to have some more play things to create with.

One of my new favourite items is the 'Honeycomb Textured Embossing Folder'.  If you remember, I showed another sneak peak card on my last blog using this same folder.  I also embossed some 'Sunshine and Sprinkles' Designer Series Paper and then simply snipped the inner side of the hexagons and then attached them to the shapes.  The stitched ribbon is Primrose Petals and I have used matching ink and the Happy Birthday is from the 'Bring on the Cake' Stamp Set from our current Annual Catalogue.  I CASED a similar design on Mary Fish's blog, you can have a look on her website www.stampinpretty.com.

I have been doing some scrapbook pages again and  this idea  I CASED from one I saw on Pinterest by Melissa Stout.  I made a few of my own slight changes.   Don't you love the colours in the 'Summer Smooches' Designer Series Paper?  My Grandson Jai's cheeky expression is priceless, mmm don't you just wonder what he is thinking!
Love, Love Love this page!  It has taken me TWO years to scrap these photos but I finally have them recorded.  Jai had such a fun time helping me make our traditional christmas pudding that day, I just knew they would make a fabulous page!  For the backround  I used  'Snow Festival' Designer Series Paper from the just expired Holiday Catalogue.  The wreath was made using my 6cm 'Scallop Circle Punch' and then the smaller 1 3.2cm 'Scallop Circle Punch' in the centre.  Some Cherry Cobbler 'Dazzling Details' dotted around and then finished with a bow of many layers with 'Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine'

Lastly, don't forget that the Sale-a-bration celebration is still running until 22nd March.  For every $100 you spend you get to choose a FREE product from the SAB Catalogue.  And if you host a party and your party sales gets to $300 you get a FREE pack of Silver Glimmer Paper as well as your usual $50 of Free products from any current catalogues!  What are you waiting for?    contact me and we'll set a date for your party.

If you don't want to hold a party you can still order at any time and still take advantage of the Sale-a-bration offer.

Until next time

Happy Stampin!

Happy New Year!

Well Christmas has come and gone but it is still really busy in this household!

Looking forward to lots of stamping and fun with Stampin' Up! this year, hope you will be joining me.
This year marks their 25th Anniversary and so they promise lots of extra and exciting things for us all.
We're excited, and it all begins with...........Sale-a-bration!

Sale-a-bration starts today 22nd January and continues until March 22nd.  This is your opportunity to earn a SAB product for every $100 you spend.  So for instance, if you order $200 from any of our current catalogues  you can choose 2 products from the SAB Brochure for FREE!  If you are hosting a party and your sales reach $600 you will receive a FREE set of Silver Glimmer Paper as well as your usual $100 of free products that you can choose from any of our current catalogues.  A great way to top up your craft supplies.  If you haven't already received your brochure in the post then click on it and have a look.

On the 1st of February our new Seasonal Catalogue will be launched and you will be pleasantly surprised with all the lovely things coming your way.  Here are some sneak peaks of products I have used in preparing for my upcoming workshops.  I created the card above using the beautiful Artisan Embellishments Kit, so pretty and such fun to make.  It will be going to my lovely Nephew Josh and his Fiance Sonya when I see them later this month.

In this next card I have used the doily from the Artisan Embellishments Kit and then the Butterflies have been  punched out using the new Bitty Butterfly Punch and the Designer Series Paper called More Amore.  I just love all these colours,so fresh and pretty.  The card was inspired from one that you will see in the new catalogue.

We had our Team Meeting Workshop on Sunday and this is the card I made for each of the girls there.  We all make a swap and then exchange them.  This card uses the new Honeycomb Textured Embossing Folder that I just adore!  Again I used the More Amore DSP and the little sentiment is stamped and punched using two of the FREE SAB  products I received.  They are the Petite Curly Label Punch and the Pretty Petites Stamp Set that compliments the punch.  The large heart on my swap cards was made using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit, but the single card I'm showing you is another one I made where I punched out a heart and then embossed it using the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder.  The Bakers Twine finishes it off tied through one of the lovely clear faceted buttons.  The ispiration for this card and the engagement card I created came from Kimberley Van Diepen on Pinterest.  You can have a look at her work at her blog  www.stampinbythesea.com

I will be back to show you some more when the new Seasonal Catalogue is released on the 1st Feb.

My first workhop for the year is currently filling up quickly for the 3rd Feb here at my place in Mornington.   This workshop will showcase the new Seasonal Catalogue and the Sale-a-bration event.   Cost is $15 and we will be making 3 projects.  I will provide afternoon tea as per usual.  Contact me before Friday25 Jan if you are planning on attending, or if you are wanting any further details.  www.judymale.stampinup.net

Remember, if you would like an automatic update whenever I post a new article you can just hit the subscribe button and leave your email address.  You will then receive the updates as soon as they are posted and it's FREE.  Hoping you will be inspired by what I show you, and please contact me if you would like to place an order at any time.  You don't need to have a party to place an order, but parties are a fun way to share an afternoon or evening with a group of like minded crafting friends.

Until then, as always,
Happy Stampin!
and thanks for stopping by.
